Tammy Rabideau is a writer living in Iowa City, IA. Her nonfiction work has appeared in several publications, including The New York Times, HuffPost, The Washington Post, Newsweek, and Wired. Several of her viral essays have also been developed into video essays.  Tammy is working on a memoir titled, Making It, based on her New York Times, Modern Love essay.


Tammy has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s education in Professional Counseling.  She has worked in the social work and mental health fields for over two decades, assisting individuals in overcoming struggles with poverty, domestic violence, and mental illness.
